These bookshelves and rug have made my classroom complete. The rug adds so much color and warmth to our classroom! These bookshelves are holding books (we are still hoping for book baskets to be funded) for our classroom library, book bins for students to store what they're reading, and various learning resources for students. \r\n\r\nThey are amazed at how large the bookshelves are and how much they can hold! I have been asked multiple times already if we can get more books because of the size! It really makes them eager to read. My students are very excited to have a class library. Some of them have never had books in their classroom before!\r\n\r\nOur next project is titled, \"Flexible Seating, Flexible Reading, and Flexible LEARNING!\" This project will support funding book baskets for the bookshelves, providing flexible seating for students, and extra learning resources to allow for movement around our classroom during lessons. Our week before Christmas break was full of fun, learning, and creating. The last day was our Christmas party and because of your giving, we were able to give our students extra special gifts this year. They were so very excited to receive their gifts!\r\n\r\nWith your donations, we were able to purchase a set of gloves, a hat, and a scarf for each of our 21 students. We were also able to personalize them with puff fabric paint and write their names on them. They were so excited to see their names on their new winter wears! They were also able to each get a brand new Dr. Seuss book and a sea creature book mark. It was so great to see their reactions. :) Many students put on their gloves hats and scarves right away while others were opening up their new books to read. These sets will be so important to many of these students and will help them stay warm in the coming cold months. Their new books will also grow their love of reading. \r\n\r\nIt brought me so much joy to see how happy my students were to receive these gifts! I hope that it brings you all joy as well because you were a part of it! I couldn't have gotten these resources for them if it were not for your donations to this project.
