Students know now that they can start their day by grabbing a snack or water bottle which has noticeably improved their ability to stay focused during lessons. Moment that stand out are in the middle of class where instead of losing steam, students quietly grab a quick snack and return to their work with renewed energy. The ambient lighting and aromatherapy have also transformed the classroom atmosphere. Students often comment that the room feels calmer and more welcoming, and it has become a space where they can reset, breathe, and get into the right mindset for learning.\r\n\r\nTheir reactions when the materials first arrived were priceless. Several students lit up when they saw the snack station fully stocked, and a few even said it felt like \"a real support system.\" The jumbo Connect Four game was an instant hit. During lunch, students gather around it laughing, competing, and enjoying a few minutes of sunshine. That short reset helps them return to class more grounded and ready to engage.\r\n\r\nWith these essentials in place, our next steps involve building stronger routines around wellness and focus. Students are beginning a goal‑setting project where they track their productivity, energy levels, and study habits. The snack station and hydration resources are now part of that reflection process, helping them understand how taking care of their bodies supports their academic success. We're also planning to incorporate the outdoor game into structured brain‑break rotations, giving students intentional moments to recharge so they can bring their best selves back to their learning. Your generosity didn't just provide supplies, it created a healthier, more supportive learning environment that my students feel every single day.","fullyFundedDate":1758796222483,"projectUrl":"project/starting-off-energized-yet-relaxed/9594355/","projectTitle":"Starting Off Energized Yet Relaxed","teacherDisplayName":"Dr. Weaver","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9638086_orig.jpg?crop=519,519,x0,y12&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1723141734488","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9638086"},{"teacherId":9638086,"projectId":9609025,"letterContent":"The new equipment has transformed both our practices and our players' confidence. With regulation tennis balls and proper grip tape, our students are finally able to train the way competitive teams do. One of my favorite moments happened during a recent practice match: for the first time, students used the real scorekeepers you provided. Instead of stopping every few points to debate the score, they stayed fully focused on strategy and movement. The entire pace of practice changed. They looked, and felt, like a true team preparing for real competition.\r\n\r\nTheir reaction when the materials first arrived was unforgettable. Several students picked up the new balls and immediately commented on how different they felt compared to the low‑pressure ones they'd been using. Others started rewrapping their racquet handles right there on the court, excited to finally have equipment that didn't unravel mid‑practice. The scorekeepers were the biggest surprise; students kept saying, \"We look official now.\" That sense of pride mattered more than anything.\r\n\r\nWith these resources in place, our next steps are to build more structured match‑play sessions and begin preparing for our upcoming competitive season. Students are now working on tracking their own unforced errors and point patterns which will help them analyze their matches like experienced athletes. We're also planning a small in‑school tournament to give them more real‑match experience. Thanks to your support, they're learning discipline, confidence, and what it feels like to be taken seriously as athletes.","fullyFundedDate":1758636641708,"projectUrl":"project/underserved-to-aces/9609025/","projectTitle":"Under\"Served\" to \"Aces\"","teacherDisplayName":"Dr. Weaver","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9638086_orig.jpg?crop=519,519,x0,y12&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1723141734488","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9638086"},{"teacherId":9705931,"projectId":9809656,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your support of the Terry Parker High School softball program! The impact has been immediate and profound, allowing us to move beyond textbook diagrams and into a truly hands-on, engaging study of human anatomy. \r\n\r\nThe skeleton will become the centerpiece of our anatomy and biology lessons. For a future unit on the musculoskeletal system, students will be able to visualize how different joints articulate and how our bones provide structure and protection. This tangible, three-dimensional resource will help bring the subject to life, allowing for a deeper and more intuitive understanding than could ever be achieved from a flat page.\r\n\r\nIn the future, the students will be using Gregory for a new project on common skeletal system diseases and injuries. Working in small groups, they will research a specific condition, such as a fracture or scoliosis, and use the model to demonstrate how that condition impacts the bone and joint function. This project will be a capstone for our anatomy unit, requiring them to apply their knowledge in a practical and meaningful way. \r\n\r\nYour investment in our classroom has given our students an invaluable learning tool that will be a resource for countless students and will surely inspire many of them toward a deeper interest in healthcare and the sciences.","fullyFundedDate":1746494316832,"projectUrl":"project/no-bones-about-it/9279728/","projectTitle":"No Bones About It!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Barnes","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7374915_orig.jpg?crop=1257,1257,x52,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1596461728918","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7374915"},{"teacherId":9827845,"projectId":9150309,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generosity, our algebra classroom is absolutely buzzing with energy! When my students first saw the new materials, their faces lit up. They were so proud to have quality tools to support their work — something as simple as a sharp pencil or a bright color to highlight key points gave them confidence when sharing their thinking. It was incredible to watch students who are usually shy step up and explain their math ideas with pride, using the colorful visuals they created as support.\r\n\r\nWe've been putting the new pencils, erasers, notebook paper, glue sticks, caddies, scissors, and colored pencils to work every single day — truly bringing math to life in our classroom. My students maintain interactive journals filled with guided notes, foldables, and examples. They carefully trim the edges of handouts and glue them into their notebooks, building personalized study tools they can return to again and again. Scissors and glue sticks have become daily essentials, helping them prepare journals and create foldables that turn challenging concepts into something visual and approachable.\r\n\r\nWith the organized caddies at every table, everything is now within reach. Students no longer waste time looking for a pencil or eraser — they can dive straight into the math. This simple change has made a big difference: our class runs more smoothly, teamwork has improved, and students feel empowered to approach their work with both confidence and creativity.\r\n\r\nNext, we're preparing for a unit on functions and linear equations. Students will work in teams to design colorful graph posters, create foldable study guides, and build matching activities that connect formulas, graphs, and real-world situations. Because of you, our classroom feels more hands-on, creative, and collaborative than ever.
