Lexia is a computer reading program that helps our Title I school in learning to read and reading comprehension. Only 33% of our student body read proficiently on grade level. To help combat this, we use Lexia to help with all facets of the reading pillars. For optimal usage, students should be using this program a certain number of minutes per week to pass off a certain number of units per week (dependent on the grade level). I am the literacy coach of the school, and I promote this program by awarding a trophy to the winning class of each grade level (the class that has passed off the most amount of units).\r\n\r\nThis has turned into a huge grade level competition! Each class wants the trophy and thanks to your generous donation, I can sweeten the winnings with a little treat for every student in the winning class every week! My hope is to continue incentivizing the students to grow their reading skills until we can raise our proficiency level to at least 70% school wide. \r\nThank you again for your help in this important mission.","fullyFundedDate":1747843102228,"projectUrl":"project/lexia-champion-incentives/9178824/","projectTitle":"Lexia Champion Incentives!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Leonard","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9970804"},{"teacherId":2009458,"projectId":9189840,"letterContent":"We are so thankful for you willingness to help fund our PE program. They are a staple of all PE classes.\r\n\r\nWe will use the new hockey pucks in the winter time when our PE classes are in the gym for PE.
