I'm trying to get donations for a small group set of each of these chapter books: Peter Pan, A Little Princess, and Treasure Island. These books will give my students access to classic literature at their level and access real physical books to practice reading and give them a sense of accomplishment. Many of the reading resources available to my class include either short stories meant to be read or re-read throughout the week or individual copies of a chapter book. Unfortunately this situation makes it difficult to interest my class as a whole in chapter books. These books will appeal to my 3rd graders because the characters are about the same age, they are interesting stories, and can be read in small groups together.
