My role at my school is an Instructional Coach, which means I work with all the teachers in grades K-5 to improve Tier 1 (whole group) and Tier 2 (small group) instruction. I do many model lessons and co-teaching to help teachers see what an effective lesson is and help collect data to show student growth. With this new laptop, I would be able to seamlessly travel from room to room and connect to the classroom's Boxlight. I could project my presentations for students using different platforms, such as Nearpod, to make the lessons engaging for students. When students are engaged in their learning, they retain information better. This laptop would also help me to collect data, meet with each teacher to analyze the data, and make educated decisions about instructional areas to focus on to help continue closing the learning gap.
