It is the tool of naturalists, scientists, artists and more and it teaches students to pay attention to many kinds of details. For 2nd through 5th graders this is both a perfect fit and a lofty exercise. Young students are both open to exploring and risk taking and increasingly hold themselves accountable for creating realistic pictures.\r\n\r\nThis is how the stickers, stamps and tape enhanced the nature journaling experience for these students. First, they helped them add realism while not getting hung up on having perfect skills. Next, they allowed them to add pizazz to their work in a quick way when time was short. Finally, these materials added creativity and expression where students skills may not have caught up yet to their observations and imagination.
