While our school does provide breakfast and lunch options, these growing teens were truly blown away by the generosity of strangers donating teen favorite snacks. The love is felt and I make sure to remind my students that the world is full of good and generous people who care about them each time they come to me for a little energy and appreciation boost. \r\n\r\nWhat has been more appreciated, perhaps by me more than my students, is the donation of Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards. I teach high school Special Education classes, including a LitComp class. Thanks to your donations and the work of many wonderful special educators, I have been able to purchase adaptive versions of entire novels. This means that my students are able to read age-appropriate classics, the same as their peers, at a reading level they can understand.
