They learned how to plan a design, cut cardboard accurately, and assemble pieces using simple construction techniques. For many students, this was their first experience working with real tools, and it was incredibly empowering for them. The Chomp Saw allowed students to cut cardboard independently and safely, which gave them a strong sense of ownership their art\r\n\r\nBeyond the art skills, this project supported important problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Students had to figure out how to make their puppets stand, how to attach arms or mouths, and how to adjust their designs when something didn't work the first time. They learned that mistakes are part of the creative process and that perseverance leads to better results.
