Students now have the freedom to access materials like craft sticks, balloons, markers, and measuring tools independently, which has made our engineering challenges more dynamic and student-driven. Students are able to quickly grab what they needed, test their designs, and make adjustments—all without waiting for materials to be passed out. It created a buzz of excitement and collaboration that filled the room!\r\nDuring our recent Solar Oven Challenge, students immediately took initiative by heading to the new storage cart to gather materials. With easy access to items like cotton balls, craft sticks,, aluminum sheets, and insulation, they were able to experiment with different designs and make quick adjustments without waiting for supplies. The mobility of the cart allowed them to bring everything right to their workspace, streamlining the building process and keeping their focus on problem-solving. \r\nThanks to the organized storage system, students can easily experiment with different tools and techniques, compare results, and refine their designs. The chair pockets are an absolute necessity to store all of our materials. Students use them for all their workbooks and supplies since we do not have a traditional desk. Our folders are also essential for school to home communication. We use clear pockets on the front for student names, but also all of my information for communication, so parents are able to access my contact information easily. Over the last 2 months my focus was on our track team and getting them ready for our local meet, now it's finally time to focus on the volleyball courts. We recently started in-school clubs once a month and of course I chose volleyball. I tried to set up a make-shift net for our last meeting, it survived but nothing like what we are about to have! The interest is there and now the equipment will be as well. \r\nI'm hoping I can get more girls and boys involved in the growing sport of volleyball. We have quite a few local club teams in the area but it's a big financial commitment. I can't wait to share what I have learned and continue to learn about the sport with the kids. Kindergarten requires a lot of hands-on materials and supplies. These chair pockets and supply pockets have been a time saver to keep our materials within reach during a lesson. Organization is key to having a clear mind that is ready to learn, and clean workspace allows students to remain actively engaged in the task. Our chair pockets store all of our workbooks and supply boxes. Our extra-large supply boxes keep the chair pockets clean and can store all of our supplies. An added bonus to the supply boxes is that I can tape their name tags to the front, so I do not have to tape and retape name tags to the table if we move spaces.
