Your support has made a truly meaningful difference in our classroom.\r\n\r\nWe use the stylus pens every day, and the students take great pride in keeping them safely stored at the top of their iPads. For many of my learners, fine motor skills can be challenging. Having access to stylus pens has not only made their digital work more accurate and engaging, but it has also helped them build confidence and strengthen those important fine motor skills.\r\n\r\nYour contribution has provided tools that empower my students to learn, create, and participate more independently. We are so grateful for your kindness and for believing in what our students can achieve.\r\n\r\nThank you again for supporting our classroom and helping our students shine.","fullyFundedDate":1746826548633,"projectUrl":"project/fingers-are-not-better-for-writing/9290064/","projectTitle":"Fingers Are Not Better for Writing","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Dasbach","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9526672"},{"teacherId":384895,"projectId":9189790,"letterContent":"On behalf of our class, I want to thank you for your generous donation that provided crayons and styluses for our iPads. Your gift may seem small, but it has opened big doors for creativity, collaboration, and deeper learning in our classroom.\r\n\r\nWhen the tools first arrived, the excitement was contagious. Students couldn't wait to test them out, and right away they noticed how much easier it was to write, sketch, and highlight ideas directly on their iPads. Instead of struggling to type or draw with their fingers, they had a more natural way to express themselves.\r\n\r\nOne of our favorite projects this semester was a digital storytelling unit. Students used the styluses to sketch illustrations for their original stories, adding color and detail with the crayons. They were able to combine hand-drawn art with typed narration and even voice recordings, bringing their stories to life in a way that felt professional and fun. Many students who normally shy away from writing were eager to participate because they could see their words paired with colorful, personalized artwork.\r\n\r\n\r\nThank you again for investing in our classroom. You have made a lasting impact on our students' learning and creativity.","fullyFundedDate":1746834027828,"projectUrl":"project/ipad-creations/9189790/","projectTitle":"iPad Creations","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Doornbos","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp384895_272x272.png?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1516474827387","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-brady"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_29935","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":602,"numTeachers":51,"percentFrplEligible":19,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":7,"percentWhite":72,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":11,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"7 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"11.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":73.9,"schoolId":29935,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Summit Hill Junior High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Summit Hill Junior High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/illinois/summit-hill-school-district-161/summit-hill-junior-high-school/29935"}
