Not only is that incredibly meaningful to me, as Jessica's human, but it also helps me show the students how important it is to properly research and prepare for a pet and that all life is deserving of safety and health, even if they are scaly and eat bugs. \r\n\r\nWhen the supplies for the class pet arrived, there was so much shared excitement between the students. At that point we had talked a lot about what a bearded dragon needs to live their best life. I like to tell the kids that bearded dragons are \"solar powered\" since so much of internal systems are dependent on having the proper lighting. I cannot begin to describe how much happier and healthier our class pet is now that she has the supplies you helped purchase. \r\n\r\nAs this is a bit of an unusual classroom project to fund, I asked students to describe the impact that Jessica the bearded dragon has had on them. Ozobots are an awesome beginning coding robot for a classroom.\r\n\r\nI used a resource from the Ozobot website resources that provide us a track. We then used different codes to have our Ozobot follow a path with a 30 sec timer to view different landforms we learned about in a lesson. Students used blue, red, black and green markers to make squares in certain patterns on the black track. The patterns could cause the Ozobot to speed up and slow down.
