However, due to the high cost of, well everything, in the Bay Area of California, families struggle financially. \r\n\r\nHaving access to good quality books in a vast variety of genres, makes a huge difference in order to broaden students' view of what life is like outside the Bay Area and gets them to analyze their thinking on subjects that they haven't had experience with, yet. Books open doorways that family finances cannot.\r\n\r\nI chose a variety of realistic fiction and non-fiction books in order to \"piggyback\" onto their writing.
