I have over a 100 students and every student is different. Each one has a different learning style, different strengths and weaknesses, different learning gaps, and different needs. As a teacher I am constantly adjusting my lesson planning, my teaching strategies, my assignments, and my assessments, often on the fly in the middle of teaching. I reflect on every class, every chapter, every student to try to improve instruction and help my students reach success. The surface pro that you have helped gift to me has already been so helpful in tracking all of this data for my classes and students. It has helped me be more productive, efficient, and organized in the classroom. My students have been able to use it during class and during tutoring to extend their understanding. I am excited to continue finding new ways to use the tablet in and out of the classroom for many years to come. Thank you so much for supporting schools, teachers, and students. The impact you have made is indescribable. \r\nEver since receiving my surface pro, I have had it with me while I walk around my classroom. This has made a huge difference in how I am able to assess and reflect on my students' understanding while focusing on teaching a lesson. While I walk around the room and observe student work, listen to student questions and comments, I am able to quickly annotate notes on the tablet. These notes are so valuable later on, when I am deciding on how structure my next class. I can track behavior, participation, problem areas, areas of strength, student levels, and so much more. Much of this information would be forgotten if I was unable to record it so fast with my surface tablet. Having my promethean board connected to the tablet means that I can also annotate notes, draw figures, and solve problems on the board for the entire class from anywhere in the room. My students also get to use the surface board because I can pull up additional problems from my curriculum to give them extra practice, or pull up leveled questions for reteach and enrichment for specific students. I also use the tablet for small group instruction and tutoring because I can have students working on the tablet and I can monitor them from the board, while helping another group with a different problem set.\r\nTechnology in the classroom really has no limits. And this particular piece of technology has already exceeded my expectations with its usefulness. My job is still difficult, but it helps make it a bit less difficult. And sharing this technology with my students and using it to improve my teaching makes my job a bit more rewarding.","fullyFundedDate":1770935332748,"projectUrl":"project/upgrade-for-my-class/10048251/","projectTitle":"Upgrade For My Class","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Brown","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10414920"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_122149","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":422,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":19,"percentWhite":2,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":77,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":80.0,"schoolId":122149,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Slam North Campus on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Slam North Campus","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/florida/miami-dade-county-public-schools/sports-leadership-arts-management-north-campus/122149"}
