Although we received the psychrometers, anemometers, infrared thermometers, and pH test strips near the end of the school year, we were able to put them to work during our Yellowstone Science Field Experience. Our students became field scientists, collecting real weather and environmental data in one of the most incredible outdoor classrooms in the world.\r\n\r\nThe equipment was an instant hit. One of my favorite moments was watching students use the infrared thermometers to measure the temperature of just about everything they could find—rocks, boardwalks, soil, and even tree bark! They were amazed by the differences and quickly began asking questions and making predictions. It was wonderful to see middle school students so excited about collecting scientific data.\r\n\r\nThe Yellowstone trip was just the beginning. Next year, these tools will be used throughout the school year as students investigate local weather, environmental conditions, and seasonal changes around our community. Thank you for helping us bring hands-on, real-world science to our students.
