These xBox consoles help our students learn in motor-based skills, as well as adapting to different challenges they face when working in groups. Through the consoles, they assist the students in how to collaborate to achieve success not only in the team, but in classes.\r\n\r\nThe consoles prove very exciting for the students in the sense that they are able to compete and not have to bring their own personal devices to school. As students are not allowed to have personal devices with them at school, having these consoles ensure students do not bring their own and are able to continue thriving in the classroom, as well as thriving in the team.\r\n\r\nSome of my students are gamers through Computer and not consoles. Those students have adapted to using the donated xBox consoles, and is teaching our students to adapt to different challenges as mentioned before. We want to appreciate all of our donors in wanting to not only see our students succeed in eSports, but also in their studies so that they are able to participate.","fullyFundedDate":1744929970162,"projectUrl":"project/building-shhs-culture-through-esports/9255760/","projectTitle":"Building SHHS Culture Through ESports!","teacherDisplayName":"Coach Macias","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9998857"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_13061","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":2214,"numTeachers":191,"percentFrplEligible":86,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":9,"percentWhite":2,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":86,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"11.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":68.0,"schoolId":13061,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about South Houston High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"South Houston High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/pasadena-independent-school-district/south-houston-high-school/13061"}
