Your support has had a profound and immediate impact on my students and the quality of instruction I am able to provide every day. Because of your generosity, we were able to add to my classroom resource shelf that students can access at any time during their independent or group work. This space has quickly become one of the most frequently used areas in our room.\r\n\r\nI am an ENL teacher who works with students learning English as a second language. Through the school day, I see multiple groups of students. Each with different levels of English proficiency and needs. While many of my students have developed some level of fluency in speaking and listening, the majority are still working early reading skills. For this reason, phonics instruction is at the center of much of what we do. Helping students build a strong foundation in decoding is essential.\r\n\r\nBefore your donation, my classroom had very few Decodable books. Your donation allowed me to bring a wider variety of books aligned with different phonics stages. I was also able to get multiple copies of the books so that the students can read in partners. Now, when the students finish their small group instruction with me, they can go directly to the resource shelf and choose a book that matches the skill they are working on.\r\n\r\nOver the past few weeks I have seen my students soar. Right before Thanksgiving break, we completed our first cycle of phonics instruction, and every single student moved up a level.\r\n\r\nNone of this would have been possible without your support. You have provided my students with the tools they needed to practice, apply, and strengthen their skills long after leaving my small group table. You gave them access and confidence.\r\n\r\nAgain, thank you beyond words.","fullyFundedDate":1757008868411,"projectUrl":"project/decodable-books-for-my-mlls/9344130/","projectTitle":"Decodable Books for My MLLs!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Curtin","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9906419_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1755710778435","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9906419"},{"teacherId":9613071,"projectId":9270726,"letterContent":"We all know that having a clean classroom is the first step in preparing students to learn. Clorox wipes to clean tables and chairs are an absolute must-have tool in your teacher closet. Lysol spray is also essential for keeping germs at bay. So far, knock on wood, no kiddos have been out sick yet! I believe that students need to be set up for success in a multitude of ways, and some of those may not always be academic supports. Thank you for giving my students better access to a germ free space, ready to learn! \r\nSupply donations like yours ensure that I can provide all that my students need in order to be successful. The students were so excited when they came for their counseling sessions and found new sensory tools to try! We have been learning about how to use different fidgets to calm strong feelings, rather than just using them as toys. Having new tools to explore brought new excitement to our mindfulness practices as the students learned to use their 5 senses to aid in emotion and body regulation. They particularly enjoy exploring the various textures on the sensory tools. \r\n\r\nThe weighted lap blanket has been a fantastic addition to classroom learning. When students get wiggly at their desks they can ask for the weighted blanket which gives them the sensory input they need to remain focused on their assigned tasks. \r\n\r\nI have been especially pleased to utilize the bear breathing light both in small group counseling sessions and when I push in for full class lessons. It's such a great visual to help students understand how to properly practice breathing skills. \r\nOn behalf of myself and my students, THANK YOU!","fullyFundedDate":1739306384584,"projectUrl":"project/we-are-sensory-seekers/9093347/","projectTitle":"We Are Sensory Seekers!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Amato","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8431120_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1729975524235","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8431120"},{"teacherId":9613071,"projectId":9002386,"letterContent":"I write this letter with so much gratitude. My students and I sincerely thank you for your donation of books to our classroom. My students have been diving deeper into their love of learning and reading with new titles in the library! The Who Is/Was books are always VERY popular. \r\nMy students have been reading nearly every new book- either in their free time after working, or for a project in class! We have begun many new reading projects thanks to having new, engaging books that align with content standards. My sixth grade students completed biographies about activists, athletes, and other bright minds. Fifth and fourth graders made mini Non-Fiction books where they got to showcase a NF book of their choice, find important facts, and recreate their own version of the book using all that they learned. Students completed this project with determination and attention to detail. It was heartwarming to see them become so quickly engaged in new literature.\r\nMy students have especially loved books like \"The Story of Selena Quintanilla\", which aligns closely with many of my students heritage. They have loved reading about her life and learning more about a woman whose name is well-known in their homes. \r\n\r\nOur classroom wouldn't be what it is today without help from our generous donors!","fullyFundedDate":1735658688694,"projectUrl":"project/books-for-multilingual-learners/9002386/","projectTitle":"Books for Multilingual Learners","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Sottile","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9613071_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1733957317688","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/booksformultilinguallearners"},{"teacherId":9407171,"projectId":9001336,"letterContent":"I hope this letter finds you well.
