In our classroom, technology is used daily for listening to stories, practicing reading fluency, completing interactive math lessons, and participating in language and learning programs. With the new headphones, students can clearly hear instructions and audio without being distracted by surrounding noise. This helps them stay focused, work independently, and fully engage with the lesson. The built-in microphones are especially helpful because students can record themselves reading aloud or responding to questions. This allows them to practice speaking skills, build fluency, and gain confidence as they listen to and improve their own recordings.\r\nThe most exciting feature for my students is definitely the microphone on the headphones. They feel proud and responsible using equipment that makes them feel like real creators and learners. Several students, especially those who are usually shy during whole-group discussions, have really warmed up to this new technology. Recording their voices gives them a safe way to share their thinking without the pressure of speaking in front of the whole class. I have already seen growth in confidence and participation from these students.\r\nWe are also very happy with the new markers. We use whiteboards every day for math practice, spelling, brainstorming, and quick comprehension checks. The markers make it easy for students to actively participate and clearly show their thinking. Having reliable supplies ensures that every child can be involved in our lessons. Your generosity has made our classroom more engaging, focused, and joyful, and we truly appreciate your support.","fullyFundedDate":1771108160825,"projectUrl":"project/small-supplies-huge-impact-for-my-first/10088280/","projectTitle":"Small Supplies, Huge Impact for My First Grade Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Bungabong","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10240398_orig.jpg?crop=871,872,x0,y197&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1757183934603","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10240398"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_2932","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":577,"numTeachers":40,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":36,"percentWhite":14,"percentIndigenous":2,"percentLatinx":34,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"14.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":52.0,"schoolId":2932,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Scurlock Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Scurlock Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/north-carolina/hoke-county-school-district/scurlock-elementary-school/2932"}
