These materials will help my students participate in multisensory activities. These materials will also help my students do daily tasks of a "student." Some of these materials can be used for home as well. I would like to ensure that my 1st graders completely understand their letters and sounds. It is vital that they understand this because they missed half of their first year of traditional school. It is vital that I work diligently with my students because 1st grade is where majority of the teaching happens. After 1st grade, it's based on application. I want my students to learn how to read, but of course that starts with learning letters and sounds. Also, I wish to ensure my students learn their sight words to help them decode text easier. Last year, my kids struggled with their sight words. I also have the opportunity to loop with my students, so I know where they are academically.
