Since receiving our new resources the student have been able to learn more effectively and with greater ease. \r\n\r\nEvery morning we talk about the date and count how many days we have been at school. They love using the popsicle sticks and the place value chart to track the days. This ties so well into our current math unit. When they first saw the chart they were so excited to use, every morning I have so many students eager to help me count. \r\n\r\nWe also loved the laminating sheets! They help us create resources for every student that can stay with them and withstand the continuous practice our students need. For example, every student now has their own place value chart that they can write on. They also have alphabet tracers and guides to help them with letter formation. These hands on learning resources have changed the way students navigate challenging tasks and have reduced stress in the classroom. \r\n\r\nThe task boxes are also a hit! My early finishers now have fun tasks to work on in the morning thanks to the materials you've given us. The students also use the colorful carpet dots everyday to line up for recess, lunch, and dismissal. These tools help me create a more welcoming environment where students can build self-regulation skills, develop independence, and engage in learning in ways that work best for them. We are also practicing how to handle big feelings, celebrate our friends' successes, and keep trying when something is challenging.\r\n\r\nOne of the best parts of being a TK teacher is watching children who are still learning how to play together begin to encourage one another and feel proud of their accomplishments. These activities give students opportunities to build confidence, develop friendships, and feel included, regardless of their individual abilities.\r\n\r\nNext, we will continue incorporating these materials into our outdoor play routines, helping students strengthen their physical skills while learning how to work together, follow simple rules, and be good sports. Now, they can safely move while staying engaged in the lesson.\r\n\r\nThe excitement was immediate when the chairs arrived. My 11 TK/K students were filled with excitement and curiosity when the sensory table and calming tools arrived. Many of my students immediately gathered around the sand and water table, eager to scoop, pour, and explore the different textures together. What may look like simple play is actually helping them build critical skills such as communication, fine motor development, sharing, and cooperative interaction. One especially memorable moment was watching a student who often struggles with peer interaction engage side-by-side with classmates during sensory play while practicing turn-taking and requesting items appropriately.\r\n\r\nThe calming corner tools have also become an essential part of our daily classroom routine. Several students now independently choose to use the weighted blankets, calming books, or quiet space when they begin feeling overwhelmed. These supports have helped students regulate their emotions more successfully and return to learning feeling calm and ready to participate. Since introducing these resources, we have seen improvements in focus, smoother transitions, and a reduction in behaviors related to frustration or sensory overload. It has been wonderful to watch students gain confidence and independence as they learn healthy ways to self-soothe and manage their emotions.\r\n\r\nAs we continue through the school year, we will keep incorporating these materials into sensory centers, small group activities, and social-emotional learning lessons. Our next steps include expanding structured sensory play opportunities that encourage communication, cooperative learning, and problem-solving with peers. These rugs have already made a noticeable difference in our classroom, especially because they are much more durable than the ones we previously had.\r\n\r\nIn our classroom library, the rug helps define the space and keeps the area neat and organized. Students use this area during independent reading time, and the rug helps create a clear boundary that supports our classroom routines.\r\n\r\nThe rug in our dramatic play area has been especially helpful as well. This space sees a lot of movement and activity throughout the day, and the new rug has held up well to constant use.
