Instead of having to figure out how they are going to make their battery last through class, they can plug in at one of our classroom outlets and continue working.\r\n\r\nOne of the best parts of this project is that these chargers will stay in my classroom and be used throughout the entire school day by many different students. There was such an exciting energy in the classroom as I handed them out, and I was honestly surprised by how thankful the students were. It felt like my students were seen and supported because they were being given the same high-quality materials as everyone else without having to worry about providing them themselves.\r\n\r\nWe are already using the notebooks every day for bell ringers, class notes, reading responses, and writing activities. Whether a student is dealing with seasonal allergies, a runny nose, unexpected sniffles, or simply needs a little extra comfort, having tissues readily available helps students feel cared for and comfortable. Your donation allows us to create a classroom and school environment where students can focus on learning without having to worry about these small but important needs.\r\n\r\nWith hundreds of students moving through our campus each day, tissues are one of those supplies that disappear quickly! Thanks to your generosity, we can keep Kleenex within reach and make sure our students have access to a clean, comfortable resource throughout their day. It also helps our staff spend less time worrying about replenishing basic supplies and more time supporting students academically, socially, and emotionally.\r\n\r\nWe are truly excited to receive these supplies and put them to immediate use. Please know that your contribution is appreciated not only by me, but also by the many students who will benefit from your kindness every single day.\r\n\r\nThank you for choosing to support our students and our school community. Your support has transformed what can often feel like an overwhelming and confusing process into one that is structured, accessible, and empowering.\r\n\r\nThe books you provided have allowed us to explicitly teach critical skills that many students are navigating for the first time. These include understanding the college application process step by step, crafting personal statements, building academic and extracurricular profiles, and developing strong organizational habits to meet deadlines. Beyond technical skills, these texts also introduce important lessons in self-reflection, goal setting, and confidence building—helping students see themselves as capable and deserving of higher education opportunities.\r\n\r\nReading in our classroom is no longer passive—it is purposeful and deeply connected to students' futures. Students annotate texts, engage in discussions about pathways after high school, and apply what they read directly to their own college applications and plans. The materials have created a space where reading is both practical and inspiring, bridging literacy with real-world application.\r\n\r\nSeveral students who were previously unsure about pursuing college are now among the most engaged. One student, who initially felt intimidated by the application process, has taken ownership of her journey—drafting multiple versions of her personal statement and even seeking feedback beyond class time. Another student has expressed excitement about exploring colleges for the first time, using the resources to identify schools that align with his interests and goals. These moments are powerful reminders of how access to the right tools can shift mindsets and open doors.\r\n\r\nYour support is not just providing books—it is providing clarity, confidence, and opportunity. Students use it to graph and visualize data, which helps them move beyond memorizing numbers to actually understanding patterns and trends. For example, when analyzing climate and environmental data, students can create graphs, compare variables, and interpret real-world datasets. This makes abstract scientific concepts more concrete and accessible, especially for students who struggle with math or traditional note-based instruction.\r\n\r\nThe laptop also allows students to research and review topics independently, which builds critical thinking and digital literacy skills. During our climate advocacy project, students used the laptop to investigate environmental issues, evaluate sources, and connect classroom science to real-world problems affecting their communities.\r\n\r\nWhat excites students most is being able to see their learning come to life. Instead of working only on paper, they can instantly turn data into graphs, adjust variables, and explore \"what if\" questions. Students are especially motivated when they realize they are working with the same kinds of tools scientists, engineers, and policymakers use.\r\n\r\nThe laptop also gives students a sense of ownership and independence. They feel empowered when they can research a topic they care about, create visuals, and present their findings in a professional way.\r\n\r\nSeveral students who are usually quieter or less confident in science have especially thrived with this technology. Students who struggle with writing or calculations often find that visualizing data helps them understand concepts more clearly, allowing them to participate more actively in discussions.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, students who are passionate about environmental justice and climate issues have really connected with the laptop during our climate advocacy project.
