This grant was a special opportunity to get books into homes so native speakers of Spanish could have the opportunity to read new books to their children. My students work towards earning tickets for their positive behavior and then they spend those tickets each week at my class store. My students have enjoyed the different options they've had to choose from and many of those donations came from this project.\r\n\r\nDuring reading groups my students have had the opportunity to use the highlighters to highlight their reading passages and that has helped them increase their literacy skills.
