Many of my students who were once reluctant readers have developed greater confidence because they can explore topics they care about and find books that feel manageable and engaging. This sense of choice and ownership has helped build stronger reading habits and a more positive attitude toward literacy.\r\n\r\nBeyond improving reading skills, the classroom library has also created a sense of community in the classroom. Students regularly share book recommendations with one another, discuss characters and stories, and celebrate finishing books. These interactions help students connect with each other while also building empathy and understanding through the stories they read.
