Due to your generosity, I was able to purchase items that supported my students academic and social emotional skills.\r\n\r\nThe students were thrilled on the first day of school, when they saw the new learning materials that had transformed the classroom.\r\n \r\nThe sequin hanging was a class favorite, and was a tool students used to regulate when they needed to re-center after a challenging class. The process of switching the colors from blue to silver gave them time to breathe, and once they finished they were ready to transition to a new activity. \r\n\r\nOther resources such as the rug seats and flower pillows, helped to create a welcoming space for my students. \r\nI would also leave time for a few minutes at the end of class for students to get creative and make something with the play-doh.
