Many of them immediately began sorting, stacking, and comparing the new materials. The place value blocks, cubes, counters, and flashcards have already made a huge difference during lessons. Instead of just hearing me explain, students can now hold the math in their hands and see the concepts come to life.\r\n\r\nDuring calendar time, we use the magnetic place value blocks every day to build our number of the day. This has helped students see a clear visual and develop stronger number sense. The dice and counters are used during math games, and the number line and place value chart are part of my small group instruction. Flashcards give students a way to practice with one another and build their fluency in a fun, engaging way. In the future, students will also get hands-on experience with the magnetic money and coins as we begin our money unit.\r\n\r\nThese resources are helping me make math more interactive and accessible for all learners.
