For some of our learners, this tool has helped bridge the gap between physical sensation and emotional awareness. By using the pulse oximeter as part of a self-check routine, students have been able to monitor their heart rates and better understand the signals their bodies are sending. This has been especially useful for students who struggle to recognize when they are becoming anxious or dysregulated. With support, students have begun to pair the data from the pulse oximeter with appropriate strategies (such as breathing exercises or sensory breaks), improving their ability to regulate independently.\r\n\r\nThe body socks have been a huge hit with our students who seek movement and resistance input. We had been squished together and struggling to have our supplies and tools close by for learning. The rug arrived in the morning and I was able to quickly switch out our old rug for the new one while the class was at recess. The look of shock and happiness on their faces was so awesome to see. They immediately wanted to test it out and they even wanted to take their shoes off so they wouldn't accidentally get the rug wet or dirty in any way! It was so wonderful to see the gratitude and care that the class felt for our new rug.\r\nNow that we have our new rug, the students are able to quickly get to their learning spots and use the space they need to work and learn. They love to sit on the rug to read and play math games with their classmates as well.
