Hi, I'm Mrs. Walters! This is my fourth year teaching 1st grade. Before teaching, I was a one-on-one Special Education Aide for 4 years. I understand that students have a variety of ways to access learning. I am trying to make my classroom more accessible to all students. To meet the needs of all my students, I want to create a more flexible classroom. This means that during work times students can choose a spot that best fits their needs. This may be laying on the floor with a clipboard, sitting at their table with a wobble stool, sitting on a cube chair at a lower table, or standing at a standing table. In the last year I have purchased scoop chairs and a futon with my personal funds to help foster a flexible environment. Now I am turning to the generous donors to help me accomplish my goal!
