When my project was approved and funded, I was incredibly excited and that excitement only grew when the materials were finally delivered to our classroom.\r\n\r\nThis was my first time posting a project, and I carefully selected items that would benefit all of my students. We received a chart stand, magnetic Elkonin boxes, and chair sleeves, and my students' reactions were truly priceless when they saw them. I made sure to explain that these materials were generously donated, and they were so grateful and eager to use them.\r\n\r\nWe immediately put the chart stand to use during our lessons on blending sounds. With the addition of chart sleeves, we were able to practice chaining letters and sounds more effectively. Having designated materials made our activities smoother and easier to follow for the whole class.\r\n\r\nThe magnetic Elkonin boxes have been especially helpful during small group instruction. My students use them to practice identifying sounds, counting phonemes, and working on blending and segmenting words. These hands-on tools have made a big difference in their understanding.\r\n\r\nLastly, the chair sleeves have been a tremendous help in keeping our classroom organized. As a kindergarten teacher with limited storage space, these have allowed students to neatly store their folders, worksheets, and personal items right at their seats. This has reduced clutter, saved time, and created a more structured learning environment.\r\n\r\nThank you so much for funding our project. Your generosity has impacted not only my students' academic growth but also our daily classroom routines. I truly appreciate how these materials have helped my students learn the importance of organization and responsibility. A clean and organized classroom truly supports better learning, and your support has made that possible for us.","fullyFundedDate":1769192070506,"projectUrl":"project/helping-kindergarteners-stay-organized-a/10031294/","projectTitle":"Helping Kindergarteners Stay Organized and Ready to Learn","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Chienna","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10407852_orig.jpg?crop=2176,2176,x136,y16&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1768705570266","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10407852"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_62720","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":368,"numTeachers":16,"percentFrplEligible":94,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":30,"percentIndigenous":10,"percentLatinx":56,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"23.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":62.7,"schoolId":62720,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Robles Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Robles Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/arizona/altar-valley-school-district-51/robles-elementary-school/62720"}
