Many of our donors are familiar with using technology at home, but in the classroom, these tools become powerful pathways for equity, inclusion, and deeper understanding.\r\n\r\nThe technology we've introduced allows students to learn in ways that meet their individual language needs. With bilingual resources, students can toggle between languages, hear pronunciation, and build vocabulary while still keeping up with grade-level content. This means they are no longer left behind due to language barriers. Instead, they are active participants in discussions, collaborative work, and independent learning. It has also increased confidence; students are more willing to take risks, ask questions, and share their ideas.\r\n\r\nWhat excites students most about this new technology is the sense of independence it provides. They love being able to explore content at their own pace and in a language that feels comfortable to them. The interactive features, like audio support, visual aids, and instant feedback and that makes learning feel more engaging and less intimidating. For many, it turns what used to be a frustrating experience into one that is empowering and even fun.\r\n\r\nWe've seen especially strong growth among our emerging bilingual students. One student who was once hesitant to speak in class now regularly participates because they can preview material in their home language before contributing in English. Another student has taken pride in helping classmates navigate the bilingual tools, becoming a leader in the classroom. These moments highlight not just academic growth, but also increased confidence and a stronger sense of belonging.\r\n\r\nThis project is truly helping us build bridges between languages, between students, and between potential and achievement. Your support is opening doors for our learners in ways that will impact them far beyond the classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1762266324835,"projectUrl":"project/building-bridges-with-bilingual-resource/9769889/","projectTitle":"Building Bridges With Bilingual Resources","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Coste","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8596777_orig.jpg?crop=419,419,x233,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1759085710939","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mscosteclassroom"},{"teacherId":9588358,"projectId":9692951,"letterContent":"he DonorsChoose project for a classroom coat rack has made a meaningful difference in my students' daily school experience. Before the coat rack, students often had to pile their coats on the floor or over chairs, which led to clutter, distractions, and lost items. Now, each student has a designated place to store their coat safely and neatly.\r\n\r\nThis simple addition has helped our classroom feel more organized and calm, especially during busy arrival and dismissal times. Students are able to transition more smoothly into learning because they are not worried about where their belongings are or whether their coats will get mixed up. The coat rack has also encouraged responsibility, as students take ownership of hanging up and retrieving their own items.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, the coat rack supports student comfort and focus. When students know their belongings are secure and accessible, they can concentrate better on learning. What may seem like a small resource has had a big impact on creating a welcoming, respectful, and organized learning environment.
