Students are using technology not just as consumers, but as creators—designing models that connect directly to the math and engineering concepts we study. They are learning about measurement, geometry, problem-solving, and the engineering design process in a way that feels meaningful and exciting.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part for my students has been seeing their digital designs turn into real objects they can hold. Watching the printer build their creations layer by layer sparks curiosity and leads to great discussions about design improvements, precision, and how math is used in real-world technology. Students who may not always feel confident in traditional lessons are especially drawn to this process. Many of them have discovered new confidence as they experiment, revise their designs, and proudly share their finished projects with classmates.\r\n\r\nYour support has helped create a classroom environment where creativity, collaboration, and innovation thrive. My students enjoyed reading this novel and learning about some of the impacts of climate change. This book allowed my students to learn about personification and simile, as well as the impact of descriptive details. \r\nWhile reading this book, my students had the opportunity to listen to the audio while following along in the book. This allowed us to pause for discussion and to respond to questions that arose. It is always fun to end the day's reading on a cliffhanger, which Alan Gratz included in many of his chapters! My students found themselves eager to get back to reading and couldn't wait for the following class period!\r\nA few of my students had visited Florida or Canada, so those storylines were of interest to them. We live in southern California, so that storyline spoke to all of us.
