My students learn about text features to see why the author wrote the book and it's audience importance on takeaway from reading. \r\n\r\nReading is pretty cool in clasd because students are reading to each other taking turns. Sometimes they each take a page and or paragraph if they are able to read. Some just look at the pictures but that's OK. Someme culture books are great to make connections and develop their background knowledge. \r\n\r\nBooks are enjoying to students who are learning to read and seeking themselves in some of the books. When students don't like to participate because they don't like being wrong.
