My students have loved having access to the new flexible seating chairs and chair pockets for their school supplies. The flexible seating has been especially helpful for students who have a hard time sitting still throughout the entire school day. They love being able to wiggle and move while still staying focused and completing their work. The chair pockets have also helped students keep their materials organized and easily accessible.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the new materials, they were so excited! They could not believe that the chairs were actually for them to use in our classroom. We received 10 flexible seating chairs through this project, and my students absolutely love getting the opportunity to use them. It has been wonderful seeing how something as simple as having a different place to sit can make students feel more comfortable and excited to learn.\r\n\r\nMy next goal is to continue creating a more flexible and engaging learning environment by starting another project to purchase one or two flexible seating tables that can also be used as dry-erase whiteboards. Our school has desks and classroom furniture that are more than 50 years old, with much of it dating back to when the school opened in the 1960s. I hope to slowly provide my students with updated furniture and learning spaces that better meet their needs. Thank you for helping me take the first step toward creating the classroom my students deserve!","fullyFundedDate":1782902612620,"projectUrl":"project/flexible-seating-helps-students-concentr/10113227/","projectTitle":"Flexible Seating Helps Students Concentrate and Regulate their Bodies","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Vieyra","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10075793_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1752173259131","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10075793"},{"teacherId":10381587,"projectId":10246468,"letterContent":"This project has given my special education students a hands-on way to explore classical music. Many had never seen a cassette tape or player, and they are excited to learn how it works. Pressing play, pausing, rewinding, and fast-forwarding builds fine-motor skills, patience, independence, and careful listening. Students can respond through speech, visuals, gestures, or AAC devices. An audio caddy will keep the listening center organized and accessible. Your generosity has made a real difference in our students' daily learning.\r\n\r\nThe dry-erase markers you helped provide are used every day during phonics and small-group instruction. Having a fresh supply allows students to actively practice writing sounds, words, and sentences without worrying about running out of materials.\r\n\r\nOur new pencil sharpener has also been a huge hit! It sharpens both regular and colored pencils quickly and perfectly every time. After 10 years of teaching, I can confidently say it's the best pencil sharpener I've ever had.\r\n\r\nFinally, the new rug and shelf have made our library area feel warm and inviting. The rug has quickly become a favorite spot for students to read independently or work with a partner.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your generosity and for helping create a classroom where students can learn and thrive each day!","fullyFundedDate":1766860957609,"projectUrl":"project/cozy-corners-sharp-minds/9930930/","projectTitle":"Cozy Corners & Sharp Minds","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Johnson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4220649_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x0,y100&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753397731444","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4220649"},{"teacherId":10381587,"projectId":9954917,"letterContent":"My students with special needs are thriving thanks to our new carpet area, foam paint, sensory fidgets, and the water tube with fish. When they first saw the materials, their faces lit up with excitement and curiosity. The carpet area has quickly become a safe, inviting space where we gather for morning meetings, small groups, and calming breaks. My students now have a consistent, comfortable place to sit, which helps them focus, listen, and feel secure. The foam paint has been a huge hit during art and sensory time—it allows my students to express themselves creatively while also meeting their sensory needs through texture, color, and movement. I've noticed that students who were hesitant to participate in art are now more engaged and eager to join in.\r\n\r\nThe sensory fidgets and the water tube with fish have made a meaningful difference in my students' ability to regulate their emotions and stay on task. Many of my students need frequent sensory input to feel calm and ready to learn, and these tools give them an appropriate, soothing way to meet those needs. The water tube with fish, in particular, has become a favorite calming tool—students love watching the fish move, and it helps them refocus during moments of anxiety or overstimulation. As we move forward, we'll continue to incorporate these materials into our daily lessons, using the carpet area for group instruction and social skills practice, the foam paint for multisensory learning activities, and the fidgets and water tube for self-regulation breaks. Thanks to these resources, my students are more engaged, more comfortable, and better prepared to succeed in the classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1767312583574,"projectUrl":"project/sensory-nature/9954917/","projectTitle":"Sensory Nature","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Ignacio","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10381587_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1765432013897","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mr-ignacio"},{"teacherId":4220649,"projectId":9505176,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation to my students and classroom. These books have so many resources, and I love having my own copy of these books. Previously, I had to rely on other teachers or scanned copies of pages from my district.
