Having a classroom library complete with a wide range of levels, book types and topics will make reading accessible to all my students! This year I moved to a new school and quickly realized I needed more titles that met the interest and reading level of my new students. My students will love seeing new books on the shelf that will be of high interest and at their level! Additionally, I need more small group books to meet the level of the students and to engage and help build a deeper understanding of the stories we read. Many of my students are excellent readers, but they struggle in the comprehension and deeper meaning of the texts. Through guided reading and literature circles, I will be able to scaffold and better assist these students in a more complete understanding of what they are reading.
