We received the garden beds and supplies and were able to add them to our existing school garden. PreK students helped us to fill the beds with soil and plant the beds last spring. We talked about plant parts and how to keep plants happy in the garden. Over the summer, PreK students as well as other elementary students were also able to enjoy the garden during summer school. This fall, PreK students will help put the garden 'to bed' for the winter by removing old plants and preparing soil to sit over the winter. Next spring, I look forward to planting the garden again.\r\n\r\nBecause of your donation, students now have a dedicated outdoor learning space at our school. I am able to take what we learn about in the classroom and share real examples with students outside. We're also able to make observations as plants change and grow in the garden, helping further support students observation and questioning in science class. Thank you so much donors for supporting my classroom. The scholars are so excited to have brand new headphones to use during reader's workshop. They are able to listen to stories independently and enjoy stories that they couldn't listen to before. The stylus for the scholars has been a great hit! They are enjoying scrolling with these stylus and using them to sketch pictures on their iPads.\r\n\r\nThank goodness for the charging stations! The scholars are happy to work on iPads that are fully charged and not have to wait. These charging stations are a game changer!\r\n\r\nYou can never have too many pencils! The scholars appreciated pencils that were already sharpened and the lead didn't break off so quickly.
