The addition of 24 new, high-quality books has expanded our classroom library, giving students exposure to a wider range of stories, themes, and vocabulary that support individualized speech and language goals.\r\n\r\nWe have already enjoyed the kinetic sand, themed sensory bin activities, and Magnetic Sequencing Rods which have allowed my students to explore stories through touch, movement, and visuals which has supported their comprehension, vocabulary, and communication skills.\r\n\r\nThese multimodal resources have increased student engagement and motivation while helping my students make stronger connections to language and text. We have been able to use them in our MTSS groups where the students work on decoding and encoding words. The students worked hard on creating a Canva presentation to show the different settings of a story we were reading. I then printed their presentations and displayed them in the hallway.
