The students in my classroom were amazed to see the items we received for the class. At first many of them were shy and afraid to act, but once we started talking about social issues that impact them, they became involved. It was eye opening to see them get involved and really think about how social issues impact them. We were able to talk about sex traffickers, the impact of substance abuse and what they can do. Many of them were under the impression that they were too young to make a difference.
