My students struggle to engage in traditional learning, so having these fun game options that involve math skills will really help them to enjoy learning math. The magazines will help them to understand how Math is part of every day life, and will help them to practice reading and applying math outside of school. Having hands on learning is essential, flipping the pages of a magazine is a different experience than just swiping the screen. I want to provide them a broad sensory experience in class that includes flash cards, games, books and technology. This will increase the brain’s ability to form new connections that will help the new skills stick so they can meet the goals they set for themselves.
