Using Dash and the Make Wonder platform, students aren't just learning about technology—they're using it to solve problems, tell stories, and explore ideas across math, science, and more. Our Otters are thinking critically, testing ideas, working through frustrations, revising their plans, and collaborating on challenges.\r\n\r\nWhat has been most exciting for our Otters is seeing their ideas come to life right away. When they code and watch Dash move, respond, or complete a challenge, their faces absolutely light up! The robots feel fun and playful, which helps even our more hesitant learners feel confident enough to jump in and try something new. I've seen students who are usually quiet step into leadership roles—sharing ideas, helping solve problems, and celebrating both successes and mistakes with their friends.\r\n\r\nThis project truly honors who our students are as learners. They are creative, collaborative, and brave when it comes to trying new things, and these tools give them the perfect space to show how incredible they all are. Because of you, our Otters are experiencing joyful learning every day—and I am so grateful for the lasting impact this experience will have on them!","fullyFundedDate":1768257258435,"projectUrl":"project/hands-on-coding-for-young-innovators/9983587/","projectTitle":"Hands-On Coding for Young Innovators","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Arabea","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9096608_orig.jpg?crop=446,446,x0,y41&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1767718027113","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/innovatorsinbloom"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_134589","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":null,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":null,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":22,"percentWhite":49,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":20,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":false,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Not specified","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR District Weighted Average","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"UNCLASSIFIED","ncesMetroType":null},"inStateSupporters":100.0,"schoolId":134589,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Reedy Laurel Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Reedy Laurel Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/south-carolina/greenville-county-schools/reedy-laurel-elementary-school/134589"}
