These items might seem small on paper, but they make a huge impact in our rehearsal room every single day.\r\n\r\nThanks to your help, my students now have the tools they need to tune accurately, play confidently, and grow as musicians. For many of them, access to quality supplies isn't something they can count on outside of school so your donation not only helps them musically but also shows them that there are people out there who believe in their success.\r\n\r\nWe are a Title I school, and many of our students face financial challenges that make it difficult to purchase even the most basic supplies on their own. Because of your generosity, every student now has access to the tools they need to succeed regardless of their circumstances. \r\n\r\nYour donation didn't just fill a supply gap, it created equity in our classroom and allowed our students to focus on making music rather than worrying about what they didn't have.\r\nThank you again for your kindness and support. You've made a lasting impact on these young musicians, and we're so grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1732718998423,"projectUrl":"project/help-support-music-education-by-donating/8678279/","projectTitle":"Help Support Music Education by Donating Some Necessary Items","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Bjork","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9690425_orig.jpg?crop=374,374,x489,y201&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1752776152602","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9690425"},{"teacherId":9901110,"projectId":9068742,"letterContent":"Students have really stepped up their responsibility in taking care of their instrument with the purchase of the cleaning cloths. They actively get up and grab one on a regular basis to remove the rosin dust left on their instruments. They also are learning to be more independent by tuning their instruments daily by themselves. They are only asking for help now when they have strings that are really out of tune! \r\n\r\nSome students have been able to use the Kun shoulder rests and they like those more than the sponges we were using as it allows them to have better posture. We will definitely be looking to get more of those as they make the students feel better and more confident about their playing. \r\n\r\nWe already had our recruitment concert back in February but are excited to use the Broadway Favorites book to play some familiar tunes for the elementary school students next year. Ironically, one of my classes asked to play the theme from Phantom of the Opera and it is in the Broadway book so we will be playing that for our final concert in May! \r\n\r\nI look forward to seeing my program grow and am so appreciative of the materials you helped us get for the classroom! My classroom is known for its supplies that students who don't have them at home can feel safe coming to get: the snack box, the facial tissues, the lotion, and the pad bags I was able to create with the pads, chocolate, and brown paper bags.\r\nI am also able to keep my classroom cleaner and more organized this year due to these items: the dry erase calendar, the dry erase markers, the whiteboard cleaner, the whiteboard eraser, and the Lysol wipes.\r\nItems like the construction paper, copy paper, colored paper, card stock, and pencils have made differentiated learning much easier in my classroom. My students are able to learn with different projects instead of just from lectures. An example of this is using the paper to create mini biographies of their favorite music artist in my general music classroom.\r\nMy students were excited when the boxes started coming in. Opening them was like Christmas for both them and myself, knowing I was going to be able to provide a cleaner, differentiated, and safe space for my students.\r\nWe are so appreciative of our donor providing these items for our classroom!","fullyFundedDate":1724083815901,"projectUrl":"project/a-successful-year-starts-with-a-stocked/8500717/","projectTitle":"A Successful Year Starts With a Stocked Classroom!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Maas","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8951883_orig.jpg?crop=2188,2188,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1712757989514","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/marrs-show-choir"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_79074","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1066,"numTeachers":93,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":3,"percentWhite":6,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":88,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"11.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":60.2,"schoolId":79074,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about R.M.
