These resources have quickly become an essential part of our Free Choice Centers every Friday—an activity they work hard for throughout the week. Having access to high-quality materials has given my students new opportunities to learn in the way they do best: through hands-on exploration, imaginative play, and joyful discovery.\r\n\r\nEach item you funded is used regularly and with great purpose. The magnetic building blocks encourage collaboration and problem-solving as students plan and construct simple structures. I love watching them narrate their plans with one another, solve problems together, and negotiate roles as they build. The pretend play items—such as the kitchen appliances, mailbox, tool set and camp set—support language development, social skills, and imaginative role-play as students interact with one another. The jigsaw puzzles and pony beads provide opportunities for focus, perseverance, and pattern recognition, all critical skills at this developmental stage. I consistently see students choosing activities that challenge them, trying new materials with confidence, and engaging with their peers in positive, cooperative ways.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has had a clear and lasting impact on our classroom. These resources have enriched both our weekly routine and our learning environment, giving students opportunities to explore, create, and grow through play. As we continue through the year, my students will keep using these materials to build their problem-solving abilities, practice social interaction, and strengthen foundational academic skills. Thank you for supporting their learning and contributing to a joyful, developmentally meaningful classroom experience.","fullyFundedDate":1757634135167,"projectUrl":"project/creative-play-free-choice-centers-for-k/9633962/","projectTitle":"Creative Play: Free Choice Centers for Kindergarten","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lisa","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8281805_orig.png?crop=561,561,x223,y187&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1679798537635","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8281805"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_95721","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1010,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":18,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":79,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":13,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 9","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":86.8,"schoolId":95721,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Quest Academy on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Quest Academy","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/utah/utah-department-of-education/quest-academy-charter-school/95721"}
