Reading, writing, and especially math word problems can be tough for them. Hands-on learning, however, opens a door that words sometimes cannot—and that is why the Makey Makey set you provided has been such an incredible gift.\r\n\r\nThe moment my students saw the Makey Makeys, their faces lit up. I heard excited voices all around the room: \"What are these?\" \"What are we doing?\" Letting them explore freely before beginning any instruction was magical. They discovered so much on their own—how to connect the device to a laptop, how to get the lights working—before I even said a word. Watching them take ownership of their learning in that moment was unforgettable.\r\n\r\nRight now, we're finishing our first basic circuit layout, and this week (right up until Christmas break!) my students will use the Makey Makeys with Scratch to build their own game controllers. I've taught many of these students for over two years, and seeing them confidently apply their coding skills to something hands-on and creative is truly heartwarming.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving my students this opportunity. For many of them, this is the first time they've been able to explore technology in such an interactive, empowering way. Your generosity didn't just place tools in our classroom—you sparked curiosity, confidence, and joy. I am deeply grateful, and I know we will continue using this set for many years to come.","fullyFundedDate":1670265777263,"projectUrl":"project/a-makey-makey-set-for-aspiring-inventors/7049958/","projectTitle":"A Makey Makey Set for Aspiring Inventors","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lafontant","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2645454_orig.png?crop=398,398,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1649728398459","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2645454"},{"teacherId":1527362,"projectId":9837762,"letterContent":"I am grateful for the opportunity to share the positive impact that the learning-to-tie-shoe books are having on our students.
