I have such a great group of students and they were so excited to see packages arriving in our classroom. As each one would arrive, my students would make comments such as \"Wow Mrs. Madison, someone was really kind getting you another package!\" I waited until most packages arrived to show them all the contents and tell them it was all for them! One student said \"But it's not even Christmas!\" They were thrilled to see how much someone else cared for them! \r\n\r\nThe winter gear will help keep them warm as the colder weather is right around the corner. Attendance is already a concern 2 months into the school year. Being able to keep warm, while waiting for the bus each morning will hopefully help maintain their attendance. Not only have you helped warm their hands, but you warmed their hearts! \r\n\r\nMost of my students require movement breaks and time to fidget or squeeze something like a stress ball for self regulation. Thank you for contributing to and growing my classroom supply of sensory materials. The squish balls, and little stringy squishy animals are just the right size for students to use without much distraction. The kids love the class set each having one of their own to help them as needed as they regain focus on their learning. \r\n\r\nLastly, the snacks are so appreciated! I'm typically buying snacks on a weekly basis for my class as they are often hungry. Hunger can hinder student learning. My students are having a blast using the rolling desk (aka podium) to present their schoolwork. I can already see a boost of confidence in many of them as they are more motivated in (writing!!) presenting their writing to their classmates. They are always asking if they can take a turn to use the rolling desk. They know they have to have high quality work to present in order to take their turn. This is a big improvement from the beginning of the year having reluctant students hesitant in writing let alone presenting to peers. \r\n\r\nThe small storage containers have been helpful in organizing math manipulatives and other classroom supplies making our room cleaner and more organized. My students willingly clean up the tools they use and know just where to put them now! Thanks for your help!\r\n\r\nThe metal curtain rod is helpful for arranging our calendar. It makes for a quick and easy change daily for the student who is assigned to this \"job\" weekly. The additional rod will be used for an anchor flip chart. Thank you so much for supporting my classroom family! I often use lamination film to create reusable games and activities to supplement my students learning. This gives me the opportunity to reuse the sheets with future students as well. My students love using dry erase markers for fun alternative ways to learn. \r\n\r\nThe cleaning supplies (wipes, clothes, and spray) are all chemical free and have been working wonderfully to clean up desks, tables and even the dry erase marker smudge! My students enjoy being helpful and take pride in keeping our shared space clean. Thank you for helping me provide them with clean cleaning supplies where they are able to grow their life skills along with being responsible for keeping our learning space clean. They were all so excited to receive the new items you helped fund. One of them asked me \"What is this, Christmas?\" Another responded with \"No, this is better than Christmas!\" \r\n\r\nEach student was thrilled to choose their own hat, gloves and scarves. These came at the perfect time as our weather dropped to single digits with wind chills below 0. So many students come to school without these items. Now that is no longer a worry for them. They have been enjoying the snacks too and sharing them with each other.\r\n\r\nOur quiet \"peace\" corner is much more cozier with the furry rug, 2 large green bean bag chairs, green pillows, heatable cactus plush, and blankets! I think the rug is their favorite as so many love putting their cheek right down to the fur and say how soft it is!! Haha! This is a cozy space for students to calm when feeling stressed or overstimulated and need to take a break from their school work. Other students enjoy this space for reading books! \r\n\r\nI can't thank you enough for helping me put a smile on the faces of all of my students.
