When the supplies first arrived, my first graders were so excited to see bright new markers, fresh paper, and their own headphones ready for learning. They immediately wanted to start creating, drawing, and using the materials during our lessons.\r\n\r\nThe markers and printing paper have become a regular part of our classroom activities. Students use them to create anchor chart responses, complete literacy and math activities, and express their thinking through pictures and writing. The children especially love using the markers—they reach for them every day and take pride in their work when they can add color and creativity.\r\n\r\nYour donation was especially helpful during a recent blizzard in New York when students had to stay inside for indoor recess. Because of your support, we were able to use the markers and paper for a variety of engaging activities. Students drew pictures, worked on creative writing, and collaborated on fun projects that kept them busy and happy even though we couldn't go outside.\r\n\r\nThe headphones have also been incredibly valuable for independent learning. Students use them during literacy and math programs, while listening to read-alouds, and when practicing phonics skills without distractions.
