Your support has truly transformed our learning environment. I'm excited to share how we've been using the new resources.\r\n\r\nMy students and I have already put the supplies to great use. The pencils and colored pencils have become essential tools during our daily lessons, especially for writing, annotating, and creating visuals to deepen understanding. The plastic storage bins have helped us organize our math games, making it easier for students to access materials independently and work collaboratively. One of our favorite additions has been the 15-drawer rolling storage cart, which now houses many of our reading books. Students love being able to browse the drawers and choose texts that interest them.\r\n\r\nThe wood grain mats have made our meeting area feel warm, inviting, and comfortable. This space is the heart of our classroom—where students gather for story time, participate in mini-lessons in math, reading, and writing, and enjoy quiet moments for independent reading. One special moment that stands out was during our first story time on the new mats; the students settled in so calmly and attentively that the atmosphere felt almost magical.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw all the new materials, their excitement was immediate and contagious. They were eager to explore the drawers, test out the math games, choose new books, and sit together on the mats. \r\n\r\nMy students are continuing to build their skills through hands-on math practice with the organized games, deeper reading opportunities with our newly arranged books, and more focused mini lessons in our cozy meeting area. These resources are helping them grow as learners every single day.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your generosity and belief in our students. Your kindness has made a meaningful and lasting impact on our classroom, and we are truly grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1758899283293,"projectUrl":"project/creating-a-comfortable-and-organized-lea/9554312/","projectTitle":"Creating a Comfortable and Organized Learning Environment","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Linares","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6804630"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_1151","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":277,"numTeachers":44,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":12,"percentWhite":4,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":79,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"6.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":58.0,"schoolId":1151,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about PS 20 Port Richmond on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"PS 20 Port Richmond","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-york/new-york-city-dept-of-ed/ps-20-port-richmond/1151"}
