With seasonal allergies, there is a lot of sneezing in the classroom so the Kleenex tissue boxes came in handy. Spills and messes occur often during snacks and celebrations. My second graders were so excited to replenish their old, dirty, and torn seat sacks. My students know they have to be responsible for keeping their seat sack clean and storing their school materials in the seat sack neatly. When my students unpack, they put their folders, notebooks, and book baggie in their seat sacks. The seat sacks fit perfectly over the chairs. Students can easily take out what materials they need during the school day. Students no longer need to congregate in one area of the classroom to get their folders. Now, students can easily reach inside their seat sack to get the material needed quickly, and begin working right away. At the end of the day, students empty their seat sacks and pack up the materials they need for homework.
