Many of them had never seen caterpillars up close, and they immediately began making observations and sketching in their science journals.\r\n\r\nWe are using the resources every day as we study life cycles. One of the most memorable moments was when the caterpillars formed chrysalises overnight. The next morning, students crowded around the habitat, amazed by the changes and eager to share their predictions about what would happen next.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to watch the butterflies emerge and then release them into our school garden. Students are also creating posters to show each stage of the life cycle, connecting their observations to what they have learned in class.\r\n\r\nThank you so much for your generosity. You have given my students an unforgettable opportunity to learn science in a hands-on and meaningful way.","fullyFundedDate":1744032989491,"projectUrl":"project/butterflies-for-elementary-scientists/9196019/","projectTitle":"Butterflies for Elementary Scientists","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Eman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5865757_orig.png?crop=573,573,x48,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1582420458997","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/emant"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_108363","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":null,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":74,"percentAsian":14,"percentBlack":16,"percentWhite":12,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":34,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Not specified","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR District Record","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"UNCLASSIFIED","ncesMetroType":null},"inStateSupporters":74.4,"schoolId":108363,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about PS 130 the Parkside - Upper School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"PS 130 the Parkside - Upper School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-york/new-york-city-dept-of-ed/ps-130-the-parkside-upper-school/108363"}
