These are children who started the year with very low reading scores and often struggled to engage with reading in a meaningful way.\r\n\r\nStudents who once avoided are discovering joy, confidence, and curiosity through stories—and they're outgrowing our little classroom library faster than I ever imagined.\r\n\r\nEven more exciting is the real, measurable growth we're seeing. Several of our students who were scoring in the Urgent Intervention (red) range at the beginning of the year have already progressed to Intervention (yellow) by mid-year. One student even made the leap from Urgent Intervention to On Watch—a remarkable achievement that speaks volumes about their dedication and the power of the AR Program.\r\n\r\nAs their teacher, watching these students transform into confident, motivated readers has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. They are readers in their home languages, fortunately, so they are able to look at these books and read them independently.
