We are required to teach social distancing to our students in the classroom. This is a challenge for 2nd graders. I have struggled to come up with a design for a new classroom environment. The mats will be each students' work and personal space. They will give the kids a visual cue to remind them to be 6 feet apart and stay in their spots. The mats are comfortable enough to sit on and do work with the lap desks as well as lay on their bellies to read a book during silent time.
