This immersive experience allowed them to practice the important skill of previewing books and selecting the perfect \"fit\" chapter book.\r\n\r\nOnce students made their selections, they joined book clubs and collaborated with peers to discuss key story elements—setting, characters, plot, and theme. The experience culminated in a creative cereal box book report, highlighting the books' story elements and overarching themes.\r\n\r\nMy goal is to foster a lifelong love of reading by introducing students to high-interest literature and empowering them to make their own book selections. It was inspiring to see their excitement as they immersed themselves in their books, eagerly sharing their choices with classmates.
