The balances, speed cars with weights, landform posters, erosion kit, and volcano eruption kit have brought our science lessons to life in ways a textbook never could.\r\n\r\nWe are actively using these resources during our hands-on science investigations. For example, students used the balances and weighted speed cars to explore forces and motion. They tested how adding or removing weight affected speed, carefully recording their observations and excitedly discussing their results with classmates. During our Earth science unit, the landform posters helped students make strong connections between real-world landscapes and our lessons, while the erosion kit allowed them to observe how wind and water change land over time. One of the most memorable moments was our volcano eruption experiment—students worked collaboratively, made predictions, and watched in awe as the \"lava\" erupted, sparking rich discussions about Earth's fast changes.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, their excitement was immediate and contagious. There were gasps, smiles, and lots of eager questions like, \"When can we try this?\" and \"Can we use this today?\" Many students who are usually quiet were suddenly raising their hands, ready to participate. The hands-on materials made learning feel real, fun, and accessible for everyone.\r\n\r\nNext, students will continue building on these experiences by designing their own investigations. They will use the erosion kit to compare slow and fast changes to land, apply the balances and cars to graph and analyze motion data, and use the volcano kit to write explanations using scientific vocabulary.
