Giving students manipulatives and idea cards can help the engineering mind as the students design and create going through each of the steps in the Engineering and Design Process. The students will have easier access to building materials that can help spark more creative exploration, play, and building encouraging students to be involved in STEM. Having these resources will build the foundation in STEM in the lower elementary grades, and strengthen their STEM experiences in the upper elementary grades. I am hoping to give more hands-on experiences to my classrooms this year.
